Without American help, problems with social payments in Ukraine may arise as early as January. This was stated by the head of the budget committee of the Verkhovna Rada Roksolana Podlasa.
“Without US assistance, already in January we may have certain difficulties with spending in the social and humanitarian spheres,” she said in a commentary to Forbes.
The deficit in the first month of 2024 could amount to 20 billion hryvnia, says a source in Servant of the People.
The total budget deficit for 2024 is 1.57 trillion hryvnia. They are planned to be attracted to the foreign and domestic markets.
The worst scenario, which the publication’s source in the Cabinet of Ministers admits, is to print the hryvnia again, which will lead to increased inflation and devaluation.
