Media: Erdogan Will Offer Putin to Resume Negotiations on Ukraine

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to invite Vladimir Putin to resume peace talks on Ukraine. This was reported by “RIA Novosti” with reference to a source in the administration of the Turkish leader.

“Mr. President will offer his mediation in resolving the conflict, reiterating the thesis that there will be no winners in the war, and no losers in the peace process,” the agency’s source claims.

The source called Erdogan “the only world leader” who enjoys the “sincere trust” of both Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and also maintains contact with them and “does everything so that peace reigns in the region.”

On August 2, the leaders of Russia and Turkey had a telephone conversation, during which, in particular, they agreed on Putin’s visit to Turkey. On August 4, it became known that Ankara expects the Russian president to visit Turkey in August.
