The Flying Eagles will fly for a whole day across the world to reach Buenos Aires, Argentina, as they seek glory at the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup.
The team led by coach Ladan Bosso departed Abuja via Turkish Airlines Saturday night on a six-hour flight to Istanbul, Turkey.
They will then connect another flight that will get them to Sao Paulo, Brazil, and onward to Argentina that will take another 18 hours of flight time.
Kick-off time is 3pm local time, which will be 11am in Nigeria as we are four hours ahead of Argentina.
SCORENigeria checks showed that it is now winter in Argentina and that explained why the Flying Eagles were fully kitted with warm clothes for the long-haul trip to South America.
